The incidence of diabetes throughout the world is increasing at an alarming rate and contributes significantly to the growing human and public health costs of diabetes. Such costs can be decreased by incorporating active participation of people with diabetes in their own treatment.

Pre read material ( Basics of diabetes & related content) and B. 10 Modules. The modules are:-

  • Module 1: Diabetes Self-Management Education
  • Module 2: Medications, Insulin & Monitoring
  • Module 3: Dietary Considerations for Diabetes
  • Module 4: Role of exercise in Diabetes Mellitus
  • Module 5: Acute complications of diabetes
  • Module 6: Diabetic Neuropathy and Foot
  • Module 7: Retinopathy & Nephropathy
  • Module 8: Cardiovascular diseases in diabetes
  • Module 9: Clinical monitoring in diabetes
  • Module 10: Nurses role in managing diabetes
