For this purpose, various formulae are being used to calculate the amount of drug, dosage of drugs and fluids to be administered. One of the reasons for medication errors in the hospital is the incorrect calculation of doses. So it is very important for a nurse to learn the correct formulae as well as know how to do various calculations. Objectives: At the end of the course the nurse will able to:

• Administer the correct amount of drugs.
• Calculate the amount of fluids to be administered per hours.
